Do we have any Salted Caramel fans out there? If so, then you (AND your wallet) are going to LOVE this recipe. It is the perfect blend of caramel and salt. Trust me, your taste buds will be doing back flips for this one!
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups half-and-half
- Add the water and the sugar to a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a slow boil and stir until it thickens to a syrup consistency (This is called a simple syrup). Remove from heat. Measure 1 cup of your simple syrup and put into a storage container. (A mason jar works well!) To the 1 cup of syrup whisk in the vanilla and salt. Allow the mixture to cool and then add 2 cups of half and half. Mix well.
- Keep creamer sealed in it's container in the refrigerator. Shake before each use.
