Salted Caramel Coffee Creamer

Do we have any Salted Caramel fans out there?  If so, then you (AND your wallet) are going to LOVE this recipe.  It is the perfect blend of caramel and salt.  Trust me, your taste buds will be doing back flips for this one!

  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups half-and-half

  1. Add the water and the sugar to a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a slow boil and stir until it thickens to a syrup consistency (This is called a simple syrup).  Remove from heat.  Measure 1 cup of your simple syrup and put into a storage container. (A mason jar works well!) To the 1 cup of syrup whisk in the vanilla and salt. Allow the mixture to cool and then add 2 cups of half and half. Mix well.
  2. Keep creamer sealed in it's container in the refrigerator. Shake before each use.

  1. Oh yummm....I've been waiting for you to post this! Can't wait to try it!

  2. Looks delish. Do you think it would keep as long as the expiration date on the half and half? Have you tried this with fat free half and half?

    1. Yes, I usually go by the date on the Half and Half. Oh, and yes, I HAVE used the Fat Free Half and Half and it works out great! I think you will love it! Thanks for your comment....I would love to hear from you again after you try this deliciousness for yourself. ;-)

  3. I am more of a hot tea kind of girl. But my husband is a huge coffee fan - I think he would love this!
